KOAN Sound consists of two brothers based in Bristol. They have made a name for themselves in the electronic music scene with their original use of funky and heavy combinations. Their image is very unique, as they rarely show their faces. Yet through artwork, music styles, DJ sets and so on their image is seen as very different, unique and funky. Which will be a lot of fun to put into a music video, using weird interpretations of things.

Their website again is very artistic and unique, reinforcing their image. Also within their music videos they use very surreal and strange aspects such as a 80's fitness killing frenzy shown in this music video WATCH , again strengthening their image.
"Trouble in the west " and "80's fitness" Are the two tracks i am interested in using for the music video. Trouble in the west does not have a current music video, and permission to use the track will be very simple as it is signed to Inspected.
Trouble in the west has a very western and cowboy feel to it, creating loads of exciting ideas for a music video. When it drops, there is a slightly more modern feel to it. This makes me think combining the two together, I liked the thought of mixing two worlds together within conflict. For example my idea was to have a narrative video about an animal with human characteristics feeling angry and wanting to get back at humans for destroying the animals land and habitat. After the conflict the animal should win. To have some of the artists theme within, the animal is going to walk back to his house to find more animals doing a DJ set and having a party, the two DJ's will be representing the duo KOAN sound. I also would like the EP artwork to have a symbol (The shape) and to be mentioned across the music video.
KOAN sound is also known for having iconic characters in each of their EP's for example A sly fox, a sadhu and gym instructors. To put these costumes within our music video will bring up more themes about the artist and their quite unique, funky image.
